Welcome New Students!
These are your advisers and some helpful hints from them.
Professional Advisers
Karen Crouch
1. Sit near the front of the class.
2. Get to know at least one person in every class. Introduce yourself to the person sitting next to you.
3. Check out Walter Library as a wonderful study space.
4. Use the academic resources on campus, such as the Writing Lab and math tutors in Lind Hall.
5.
Stay healthy: eat a nutritious diet (most of the time!), get some
physical excercise on most days, and try to get 7-8 hours of sleep a
night.
Natan Paradise
1. Get in the habit of making regular advising appointments.
2. Keep up on the reading.
3. Ask questions in class--everyone will be grateful, including the instructor.
4. Know that good writing means rewriting. Be willing to throw some of your writing away.
5.
Just because this place is big doesn't mean you have to wander around
lost. If there' something you need, something you don't know, ASK.
